An auto-generated dungeon that changes daily
This 2D action game is set in Tokoyo - the Tower of Perpetuity - a constantly changing and devilishly deceptive auto-generated dungeon crawling tower with fiendish monsters and brutal traps. It is a game where the Tower of Perpetuity is automatically regenerated by the game server every 24 hours (in real-world time), allowing for players around the world to take on the same dungeon each day, and for one day only. Different traps and gimmicks await you each day, and you must compete against other players while battling the dungeon. The dungeon contains various differing branches, offering a certain degree of free choice and randomization.
Light social elements
Race to the top of the tower against rivals around the globe as you aim to top the daily rankings chart. Players on Steam and Nintendo Switch share the same rankings, so if you manage to cement the top spot, well it means you are the undisputed king that day.
Social features utilizing the network have been implemented in the game. In it, a gravestone will be placed where a player meets their end, appearing in other players' games along with their "relics" and "last words". Mutate IO
This game was designed to participate in an event called the Pygame Community New Years jam (theme change: mutation) It was my first attempt in the jam to get to know networking better and play around with the game development practices that I'm still not familiar with (e.g. lesser global state).
This is currently the only server, the one I'm currently running on: 34.76.77.52, which I'll probably be running until a few months in the days following release. Maximum number of simultaneous clients that can be allowed is 10.

Versions described:version 1.0.1 came out before the conclusion of the jamversion 1.0.2 contained minor fixes to bugs in the server.py files that were related to rapid disconnections of clients. disconnections"slim" versions built versions, where I've tried to eliminate any DLLs or folders other folders I'm not sure it is required to use the program.
